Lady Hawks Season Review

2024-25 Season Recap: Howard College Lady Hawks Basketball

It was a season of challenges and growth for the Howard College Lady Hawks as they faced a new coaching staff and a team with only two returning players. After the departure of Coach John Ishee, the Lady Hawks turned to Al Davis to lead the team into a new era. Coach Davis, known for his determination and strategic insight, brought in Coach Karina Gee to assist in the rebuild. Together, they embraced the task of developing a new team and creating a competitive culture in one of the toughest conferences in the country: the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC).

With the season being a rebuilding year, the Lady Hawks went through their fair share of ups and downs but showed remarkable resilience, finishing with a 13-15 overall record and 5-9 in conference play. Despite the challenges, the team demonstrated flashes of brilliance, and many players stepped up to deliver key performances throughout the year.
