Coach Cooper Secures 100th Career Win
During the weekend of December 6th, Men's Basketball hosted the Howard Classic at home in Big Spring, TX. 6 teams from all over the country ventured down to the Lone Star State to test their skill against opponents that they might not otherwise play. On December 7th, the second day of the classic, The Hawks defeated a formidable Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa team 94-67. While this victory would be the second in as many days for The Hawks and their third win in a row, this victory was far more special than just that. Head Coach Kyle Cooper secured his 100th career win with this victory joining the 'triple-digit' win club. Riding the momentum of such an incredible feat, The Hawks would go on to sweep The Howard Classic winning 3 of 3 games and finishing with the best record of the weekend. The sweep at the classic would mark 4 wind in a row for Howard and their record would sit at an incredible 12-2 overall and 7-0 at home. The Hawks will break for the semester and return to action on January 6th vs New Mexico Military Institute at home in Big Spring. Congratulations Coach! Here's to 100 more!
